EmployrightThe Checks We Perform

We undertake two main levels of checking. Firstly we verify that the personal information provided by the candidate (or the employee) is identical to that submitted to the employer and secondly and perhaps more importantly we automatically investigate any discrepancies that may have arisen during our vetting process especially those which we feel should be brought to the attention of an employer.

As an example a candidate may try to hide a career break by falsifying the time spent with previous employers or an employee may not declare a County Court Judgement whilst employed in a post carries a degree of financial responsibility.

In undertaking these checks we have a duty to comply with the UK Data Protection Act which requires us to ensure that an individual has given their approval for us to verify their CV details and also the depth and range of checking needs to be commensurate with the position being offered or the post held.
